Overview:
Konami was always planning on bringing a Castlevania game to the Wii so why not a fighting game. Working on the in-game textures are the people who designed Elebits and Dewy’s Adventure and the lead game designer is Koji Igarashi, who worked on a lot of good games. The game designer wanted Castlevania to have the gothic feel. Igarashi has described the process of developing multiplayer combat as a somewhat challenging task so be thankful you guys.
Gameplay:
This game plays a lot like Power Stone. Two players are pitted against each other in a free-roaming room. Players will be able to use various weapons depending on the stage and interactive environment of the stage. Players can also set traps or use monsters in the stage to attack one another. Players will be able to utilize summons from previous games. There is a rumor about being able to equip armor but Konami hasn’t said anything about that.
Features:
Let’s start with wifi. Players will be able to play against via Nintendo Wifi Connection. Players can connect with the Nintendo DS game Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia to unlock bonus content in both games.
Cast:
The characters range from all Castlevania games. They are currently 14 characters in the game and only six are confirmed. Some of the playable character are enemies and bosses from the Castlevania games. Here are the confirmed characters.
* Simon Belmont
* Dracula
* Death
* Alucard
* Maria
* Shanoa
* Aeon
So let’s talk about how each character plays. Dracula is probably going to be one of the strong characters. All characters have second jump besides Dracula, instead he hovers for a moment. Dracula throws fireballs and uses huge dark sphere attack from Symphony of the Night. Alucard uses his “tetra spirits” attack. Maria’s jump attack and sub-items make use of her summon creatures and famous owl. Simon Belmont uses daggers, holy water, the boomerang cross, or throwing axe.
Controls:
Castlevania Judgement will utilize the motion-sensing controls of the Wii’s two part controller. The Wii remote will be utilized for all attacks. Swinging the remote, and the Nunchuck will be used to move the character around the stage and for defensive moves. To attack, players must use the button combinations A, B, and C and Z. A throws whatever item your character picks up. Press A and B together does an item crush that uses hearts and magic together.
