NES audio not working after disabling 10NES chip

Hey all,

After removing the fourth pin of my 10NES chip, my nes audio stopped working. The blinking when no game is inserted stopped as well, so I assume that it has been disabled in the correct way. While googling I found that other people had the exact same problem after they did something to their NES (eg, new 72pin).
I think I've got a fairly good picture as to how the audio system works, but I can't see where the problem is located.

I have tried on a different computer, and I have tried it with a different AV cable and with the RF switch, but neither of this work, so one could assume that the problem is located before it enters the output box.

Do any of you know what might be the problem/fix? If you need specific information on something, just ask and I'll gladly search for it.

Sounds to me like you messed up the pin connector. Good thing they're cheap and easy to replace.

Messing up the pin connector would not make it lose all sound. Sounds like you screwed up when disabling the lockout chip
