Good, affordbale fight stick?

I play a lot of fighter, so I'm thinking about investing in a fight stick. any suggestions? I want to spend LESS than $100 if possible. The more universal (both game and systemwise) the better.

Wow, $100 for a stick?
I know a cheap version, buy a shovel or something like that, and pull the stick out of the metal thing.
Can be used as fighting stick, I do that too, lol.

This is a fight stick. It's for use with fighting games and mimics an arcade setup, which is much more natural for fighting games.

As a guy that owns 5 different sticks (2 stock 3 customs)
Personally, for less then $100 i'd look into going custom, you could pick yourself up a decent stick with artwork you wanted (could go with a zelda one!) which could be used for both xbox and ps3.

Ps3 sticks also work with PC
Wii sticks also with with PC
Xbox sticks only work with xbox.

That being said, if your not fussed and only want it for xbox exclusive.

If you plan to use it alot and want a stick that can take a beating, look into madcatz SF sticks, the white arcade one should be fine. If your a snob then madcatz TE sticks use official japan parts and will NEVER fail.

If your not into heavy bashing and won't be pulling the stick out that much, just go for a cheap hori like what you already displayed.

Main difference between Hori and Madcatz? Quality, one uses japan parts one uses american counteparts. Both durable enough although madcatz parts are known to last alot longer.. The difference is in the actual feel of the button. Hard to explain without you playing with them but a madcatz stick has whats known as touchbuttons, as in you can literally touch the button and it will know to punch kick, hadouken whatever where as hori you have to actually tap the button fully in.

Other then them two main differences, its mostly just artwork and design for you to fight over.

ONE BIG TIP. DO NOT GO WIRELESS!

Not impossible just expensive, if anything you'd be better off going 360/PS3 dual and then buying an adapter that links PS3 to Wii.

Pain in the ass about wii's is that the fight stick connects into the wii mote meaning its wireless to start with rather then plugging into the console..

Two reasons wireless fails? Delay in button command the more the battery is drained the worse it will be, which in a fighter is like a pain and it will eat your batteries like a bitch.

Personally, i don't see why anybody would want a wii fight stick. Trust me i had a few luls on brawl with it.

Guilty Gear Accent Core and Tatsunoko vs CAPCOM, not to mention the old Street Fighters and Samurai Shodown games that are downloadable.
