Waylas, the Wandering Redguard

Chapter 1: A Sellsword, or a Sailor from Stros M'Kai
It seemed my day just couldn't get any better. I had finally arrived in the god forsaken land of Skyrim from the Imperial City, where I found myself in an ambush. My opinion didn't matter when I was quickly bound and stripped of all my precious belongings. Why these hooligans in the blue tunics got to keep their clothes is beyond me.

On the deluxe carriage ride into this skeever hole of a village, I found out that those blue tunics were the people I was hired to kill, the Stormcloaks. Sadly, I must have arrived before the messenger, as now I was being carted to my death, even though I am fighting for the Imperial side. I'm not afraid of death, as I am deserving for walking straight into that ambush.

General Tullius, the leader of the Imperial Army in Skyrim was droning on about how it isn't honorable to "Shout" the High King to death. The Imperials could learn a few things about honor themselves. They had the Aldmeri Dominion being steadily pushed back, but they decided that the bloodshed was too great, and signed a treaty to the Dominions advantage. Something about the White-Gold Concordant smells fishy to me.

As I watched the Stormcloak on the chopping block get executed, a roar was heard, and I formulated a plan to escape and make my way to Solitude. As soon as the executioner swung down, I would roll and disarm. Using the executioner as a shield, I would duck behind the nearby buildings and escape. The executioner would be lucky as I am in a good mood, and won't spill his blood today.

I rested my head on the block for merely a second when another roar was heard. Then I saw it. I could not believe my eyes. A dragon. A real live dragon, and it didn't seem happy. With a blink of an eye, the town was cast into fire and chaos. My escape would be much easier than expected.

I ran to a sentry tower behind me, and made my way up the staircase. The wall burst open, as the dragon stuck his head in and breathed fire. He quickly left before a flurry of arrows could hit him. He made an easy escape route as I jumped into the burning building next door. I ran through town, following after an Imperial named Hadvar, who was nice enough to give me a sword and sever my bonds, once we entered the keep.

I'm not a big fan of Imperial armor, or swords but they will have to do until I can either reclaim my axes, or find new ones.

An Artist's rendition of Waylas at this time

Spoiler
Thanks for reading, I am doing this as my current project to play around with a form of writing that I am not proficient at(First person is the Bawlz with me). Anyway I hoped you enjoy, and I will update after every session of Skyrim I play with this character, so there will be spoilers abound. After this chapter, Waylas will get quite sarcastic and fun

Chapter 2: A Tactical Retreat

I wasn't very happy that I had to retreat, but I couldn't do much against a mythical beast, that shouldn't exist, with my bound, bare hands. Hadvar was a true coward though. He was fully capable of fighting the dragon to his death if need be, but he turned tail and ran. He deserted his post, and in Hammerfell that would be treason. His family name would forever be shamed, but that is neither here nor there.

In the next room there were two Stormcloak soldiers, barely clad in armor. It seemed to be made out of whatever scraps were laying around, and a raggedy Stormcloak tunic thrown over it. On of them was wielding a greatsword, and the other had an war axe.

The man with the greatsword pulled back to swing, but was nothing to my agility, as I smacked him across the face with the broad side of my sword, knocking him silly. The other one swung at me with the axe, but I caught his arm with my sword, severing it. Hadvar plunged his sword into the heart of the soldier I had knocked out by the time I retrieved the war axe from severed hand. I whipped the blood off on my tunic, and switch my sword to sit on my other hip to dual wield the sword in my left and axe in my right.

There was clashing in the room below us, inside the torture chamber. It sickened me so much, that I sat out this fight, and let the torturer, his assistant, and Hadvar deal with them. The torturer fell in the battle, thankfully, or I would have to kill him myself. A warrior is a hero to someone's cause and deserves the utmost respect.

Hadvar and I exited the chamber into a cavern. I could feel wind and knew we were getting close to the outside world. The only thing blocking us from the outside world was a bear. Hadvar handed me his bow, as I took precise aim, and shot the beast straight through the eye.

We were home free. Hadvar mentioned a nearby homestead, Riverwood, where his uncle was the blacksmith, would be a good place to rest the night. As we walked, we made small talk, and he deeply apologized for my almost execution, after I mentioned I was a mercenary for the Empire.

Chapters are too short, but of course if that's what you are going for then that is fine.

Also, is it just me or are you just recounting the actual events of the game?
