Healthy living

If you are a meat eater have you ever tried being a vegetarian? or tried going on a all vegi&fruit diet for awhile?

For me, ever since i started eating healthy, I've felt so much better about myself, i started dancing out of intense joy when i first wake up. life has been so great, i feel as though my life is full of abundance when I'm happy.

There are certain essential proteins in certain meats that you cannot get anywhere else. It's all in how you cook it, really. Being a vegetarian in and of itself isn't neccessarily the "right" way to eat just because you cut out meat. You can still have a healthy diet that includes it.

But yes, I too have felt better since I have began making better food choices.

Thanks for sharing your opinion about healthy choices and better ways to eat, i do understand were your coming from but everyone sees it differently and others feel like eating only fruits and vegi is the right path for them.

It wasn't so much me stating what I feel as it was me stating a fact. There are certain proteins in meats that you can't really get anywhere else, and thus having meat in your diet is important. It's all in how you prepare it. In other words, bake or grill the chicken instead of frying it sometimes, etc.

I don't eat anything fried or microwaved, it taste good but its terrible, to me at least. my deit now a days are eating meat twice a week if i can.

Yep, its good to eat some meat for the protein, I wonder if you could go total vegan, and just do protein shakes instead of meat. I tried that once, lasted about a week and then caved in. I feel your body would be better without meat, but then again what do I know.

i think being a vegan would be much easier then being a total vegetarian some people prefer being a fruitarian. i couldn't do it though.

I was a vegetarian for like a few months. It wasn't that bad. I got my protein from mushrooms and tofu, some of my favorite foods. I caved in when my grandma made a steak for me and taunted me with it.

For healthy eating, I try to get the daily servings of fruits and vegetables for the day. I only eat 1000 calories a day.

I don't eat fast food often. Living in the South, everything is practically fried, so sadly, I sometimes I have to give in to fried foods.
