Help with SNES Demon Crest (bug?)

Hi all! I just received a copy of SNES Demon Crest off Ebay and it was a little dirty. I cleaned the contacts but think I might have a problem with the game. I noticed a little bits of white flashing sprites at the very top of the screen in a couple of places from time to time when the screen is scrolling. Is that normal? Bug in the game? THANKS!

No, flashing glitchy sprites isnt a normal thing in any game that i can think of. And its almost always a sign that your game is still dirty ( or damaged ). The pin connector can actually become rusted.. I know thats not something you want to hear on an expensive snes game like demons crest. But it happens. A polishing grade sandpaper can fix it though. Just remember to wipe down the contacts with alchohol when your done.

I hope it is just the cartridge connections and not bad rom code,i just use contact/switch cleaner on some folded and rigid paper and rub the corner of the paper along the connectors. Not to keen on sand paper of any kind as i find it a little to rough on the pins/plating.The cleaning fluid (whichever you use) should do the work and the folded paper should gently remove the carbon deposits that are lifted, just make sure you clean the very far side edge pins inside the cart as they do often get missed during cleaning.
