Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain

We have seen all the big hype about this game from August 2012 with the trailer of Ground Zeroes. Later, Kojima again showing MGS fans with the new MGSV: Phantom Pain that Ground Zeroes turned out to be a prologue.

Yet, rumor news that I read that GZ (treated as "tanker chapter" in MGS2) would be a separate game before Phantom Pain as the main game ?! I (really) hope not though as I really want one whole game disc consist of GZ & Phantom Pain.

No official released date whatsoever from any websites, including Konami.

Update guys if you know more about any recent news.

I heard they confirmed they're the same after GDC 2013.

I lucked out hard with this, I found out it was coming to the 360 after I bought it. So excited

I don't like this news whatsoever as GZ would be appeared as a stand-alone game before Phantom Pain released. Boooohooo !

I think this news is great. It means we don't have to wait too long for another MGS expperience.

I, too thought that GZ would be the opening chapters of PP, sorta like the Tanker in MGS2. But I have high hopes that GZ will be a fully fleshed out experience.

I dunno, that $20-30 price point is really tempting.

I was always kinda expecting GZ was going to be it's own separate experience, so this news doesn't really surprise me. I'll probably get this just as long as the game is longer than MGS2's Tanker or MGS3's Virtuous Mission

If it's only as long as MGS2's tanker, I will be utterly disappointed. Skipping cutscenes, you can pretty much smash through the tanker in as little as 20 minutes.

assuming the $30 price tag for GZ (new game) itself, I still feel it's over price. I think Konami is just grabbing an opportunity to grab our money as in the Capcom's Case Zero in DeadRising $5.

I can still accept the $30 price GZ if the next Phantom Pain release for another $30 just for a total $60 for 2 games (GZ+PP) as in general new games itself in retail market.

I feel pains in the ass if PP would be released as $50 price tag new game as this is very unacceptable.

Considering gamers get gouged in the wallet yearly for gaming experiences that are pretty much the same in the CoD franchise, paying $40-$50 for GZ would be a steal for what the end result would be.
