For those who didn't nab a "Day One" edition Xbox One, retailer Best Buy is running another round of preorders ahead of the console's launch next month.
The retailer on Monday said it has "limited quantities" of the console available
, orders that will go out to buyers in time for the console's launch on November 22
Microsoft said it sold out of Xbox One
preorder units last month, leaving potential buyers having to resort to other means to nab a console on its first day out. Several retailers including Best Buy are opening up at midnight on November 22 to sell initial units.
Early buyers who ordered the "Day One" edition of the Xbox One get a commemorative controller, special-edition packaging, and an early adopter achievement attached to their Xbox Live gamer tag. Microsoft showed all that off in an unboxing video
back in August.
The new Xbox has sold more preorders than any previous iteration of the console
. The $499 console replaces 2005's Xbox 360 and first debuted at an event in May.
It's unclear if Best Buy is the only retailer to get more stock ahead of the launch. Microsoft said it planned to produce some additional units for early buyers in an interview
with Reuters last month.
