Any good "cheap" games?

I'm a cheap gamer. I'm always on the hunt for great games at low prices, so generally, I flock to eBay. The very well known titles like Zelda games and Super Mario Sunshine go for high prices, usually higher than I'm willing to spend ($15+) I'm looking for any... not "unpopular" but good "undiscovered" titles that could potentially go for cheap but that would be fun.

Obviously he's looking for Gamecube games.

The majority of 1st party GameCube games, save for a few, should be under $20 at this point. Super Smash Bros. Melee and Animal Crossing are absolute must haves.

Oh, I didn't pay attention to which board this was posted in.

Well I am sure he knows about the obvious must-haves like Melee and Metroid Prime so as far as gems go:

F-Zero GX--I picked it up for $5 used at GameStop in 2009 but seeing as though most GameStops now no longer carry GameCube I don't know the average price it goes for online. But if you like racers, challenging ones at that, this is for you.

WarioWare: Mega Party Game$--This is a blast if you have friends to come over and play it with you (the game was built around the multiplayer). There is a single player campaign too, but if you have WarioWare: Mega MicroGame$ on the GBA then it's the exact same as literally all the microgames are recycled from the first game.

Soul Calibur II: If you royally suck at Tekken like me, this might be a little more your speed. And it has Link so can't go wrong.

Crash Nitro Kart: Not bad. To me, the Crash kart racers have never been quite on par with Mario Kart (except for Tag Team Racing) but for the price you can find this at it should wet your whistle if you are a big kart racing junkie I suppose.

Crash Tag Team Racing: I played this on PS2 at a friend's house and I used to own it for PSP but it's also on GameCube (and the original Xbox). Essentially it's the Crash racing equivalent of Double Dash, except everyone starts out in separate cars and you can pull up to someone during the race and "Clash" with them to morph your cars together and become a team. Plus the campaign mode plays alot like a standard Crash game because you unlock races by traversing open world levels and collecting stuff.

Sonic Mega Collection: Compilations of the Genesis Sonic games can be found on pretty much any modern platform but this is a pretty good version. You get Sonic 1-3 & Knuckles, Sonic Spinball, 3-D Blast *shudders*, and a bunch of unlockable games which includes Ristar, as well as some cool goodies like "rare artwork", comic book pages, etc.

That's all that comes to mind right now, will post more when I think of them.

I found both Viewtiful Joe 1&2 for about $5 each at Gamestop, and from what I've seen on eBay they're still pretty cheap. Both are some of my favorite beat-em-ups

Soul Calibur 2 goes for really cheap and it's sooo fun. So much to do in it as well.

Thanks for the responses, everyone! I have Crash Nitro Kart, it's good. It's for sure not on par with the Mario Kart series, but it's decent. I have Crash Team Racing (PS1) on my modded PSP, that one is amazing! As for the other games you all sugested like Soul Calibur 2 and Viewtiful Joe, I'll have to check into them. I want games like Melee, Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion, but I'm not willing to pay that price. (I don't know what it is... I'll pay $60 for a 360 game, but $30+ for a GC game seems crazy, considering it's now a retro console).

If you aren't willing to pay $30 once in a while, then frankly, retro gaming is not for you. I could sell my collection and quit work for a while. lol

Well it's also about going to the right places. Flea markets are your friend. Of course vendors vary but for the most part I have found some cheap gaming goodies there. Of course he might indeed be subjected to pay $20-30 for the huge blockbuster games from the era or the "rare" ones though but the more low profile good games like Soul Caliber 2 or F-Zero can usually be found at reasonable prices.

Or he could scour his area for GameStops that still carry GameCube. Even though most have eliminated GameCube sections for the extra inventory space, some still carry GCN.

I got Soul Calibur 2 for 5 dollars on Ebay and it came with Star Wars Rogue Squadron.

SG64 is right though to build a decent collection you gotta dish out some real cash.
