World Poverty

How do we fight an ever present crisis that has
been around for centuries?

Even more evident in todays world.

Poverty

What can we do to help other people in need?

What can we do to help others?

What can we give back to young children around the world
who can't go to school, simply because they don't have money?

What kind of comfort can we give them?

What hope can we bring them?

MUCH

WE can bring them MUCH needed supplies.

WE can help them MUCH where others don't.

WE can teach the children MUCH, by teaching them right from wrong,
beginning by showing them not to beg, and by giving them our
used school accessories and clothes.

WE can bring them MUCH comfort, by showing them we care
and that they are not neglected nor forgotten.

WE can bring them MUCH hope, by simply opening our hearts.

We can definitely do alot, but it all begins with your single concerted effort as a human being.....

Do you see a homeless person on the street,
a single mom struggling to meet ends meet crying on her front porch,
a child digging for scraps out of hunger,
or a lonely old man lying in the gutter?

Think about what you can do to help them.

How you can create awareness of it amongst your friends, school, community, and lawmakers.

Each and every one of us can make a difference.

All it takes is ONE PERSON to change ANOTHER PERSON's life.

What do you think of Poverty?

Rockn. HELP END POVERTY

I mean, how are you supposed to answer this question...

C'mon Marvman. The sheer number of children who die every day because of hunger, famine, or lack of proper medical care is mind boggling.
Buying wristbands isn't going to solve world hunger.
I realize you have good intentions, but the entire world would have to unite to fight for this cause, and currently our country would rather be fighting a war in Iraq then helping children in Africa, so we're a long way off from that...

That being said, one of my dreams was to join the peace corp. and actually DO something with my life.
But that might take a while...

Unfortunately, a lot of those organizations that ask you to pay a certain amount a month or day, say a dollar, only about 10% of it goes to feeding and clothing those people.

oh come off it Ender

the US puts so much money into other countries. Helping Africa fight poverty and AIDs.

i do respect about you serving in the Peace Corp though.

Theres not a Whole lot we can do. They have to do it themselfs, but with our help. In Africa, people are having WAY too many children. You cant nearly have All the resorces to feed everyone.

I hate Poverty.. Imagine We whine all the time Because Euh.. EX : A New Game Got out and you're Parents don't Want to buy it.. (Just saying this like that.. Im not like that..) And They Can't Even Eat!! Because They Can't Eat You'll Notice Some of them have a Big belly But Theyre Thin Everywhere else! That Mean is Own Organs Or Something else in theyre Body Are Eating him From inside! No Joke! My Biology teacher told us in Class and I started Crying... It Really Sucks knowing That Thousands Of People are Suffering and You can't Do Anything! Ive Tryed to Help Them But The Stupid (Name of Organisation) Wouldn't Let us Help! But Im Glad That there is Some People Helping! Like One Or The One You "adopt" a Child and Give him Money For Food and Education! Thats Great that Some People care and Do Something About it!
