Ebay

OMG! It BURNS!!!

Has anyone ever bought or sold on Ebay 'round here?
Its a GREAT global trading marketplace.

Whatever you think can be sold or bought,
it is most likely there on Ebay.

From hard to find memorabilias/collectibles,
to that cheeky game ya once played as a kid,
to Mariah Carey's underwear,
to a piece of the moon,
to ownership of a Nintendo Forum,
to grocery food.

It's a fast paced market,
and only the witty and cunning survive.

Ya gotta be a downright uncanny on how to bid,
and which items to look out for.

Here's a bit of advice from Marvman regarding Ebay.

-----------------------------------------

Haha, yes Ebay does "work".

Just make sure you know what your bidding and buying.

Read the item descriptions ALWAYS....

Look at the feedback score of the seller,
and check their negative feedback comments
if they have any.

Next, check their location prior to yours.
The shipping cost, and the max bid.

Always use Paypal no matter what,
in faulty situations, Paypal will be a life saver.

Always keep in constant, and friendly communications
with the seller, and look out for bargains.

Ebay is a good marketplace,
you just have to be wary of the sellers.

As for your second inquiry.

Well,
Marvman has bid and won/purchased
Wii Points Cards, Used GC Games,
Military Uniforms, Baseball Cards,
Autographed Jerseys, Hats, Watches, MP3s,
Ipods, Laptops, Cables, Magazines, etc.

And by the way,
if you bid and win something
then it doesn't arrive to you,
or it arrives to you and it doesn't work
or is not what was specified on the item description.

Ebay can fully reimburse your losses.
There will be "cases" filled against the
fraudulant seller.

Rockn.

------------------------------------

And Another....

------------------------------------

Dude there is an option called "Buy it Now",
usually located under the bid price,
which gives you the item straight away,
if your willing it buy the item at that price.

As for PayPal Transactions,
they are the best way to deal with international sellers
and buyers, the program protects you and protects sellers.
Up to $2,000 buyer protection can be awarded for mis-happed transactions, and fraud.

In order to verify your Paypal account and address,
you need to input your bank routing number into your Paypal account,
but for international Paypal clients, all you need to do is enter your credit card into your account, and enter the 4 digit access code listed in your
credit statements. Once your account is verified, your address is verified.

PayPal is 100% safe, even more than that, as you are protected 24/7
no matter what happens during the transaction.

Powersellers are not a gaurantee, that you will get the best outcome
for your product transaction. As even they "fool around".

Always check the feedback rating, as well as the refund policy,
and PayPal Coverage.

I buy and sell there all the time, besides here at ******

Well because I have a US address....
but they do ship here from time to time.
You just have to look....

Rockn.

---------------------------------------

So do YOU use Ebay?

Rockn.

I use Ebay all the time. It is a great resource. There has been some changes I don't care for but it is still a great site. Craigslist is another great resource for stuff.(best part of Craigslist is its free, and the developer wants to keep it that way)

I use eBay occasionally, but Mario's got it right, CL is a great site, I use that more than eBay.

Buying on Ebay is worthwhile. Selling on Ebay is just pointless now at least, for the small-time things. You can't make a profit on them with all the Ebay fee's they added in lately.

I prefer Craigslist more, though. Easier to track things down & there is no bidding war. The price is set in stone & if someone try's to scam you they aren't too far away if you do Craigslist stuff, locally.

There are some other fun sites out there but they aren't too big.. but if they ever did get big and never charged fees like Ebay did they would be fantastic.

Cool

Marvman has one freakn A question for all ya'all who use Craigslist....

Can you use PayPal for transactions on that site???

And doesnt the layout of that site seem.....
juvenille....

Rockn.

Just sayin.

Heres Marvman's take on this...

Craigslist = Good For Local Buyers
EBay = Good for National/International Buyers (Marvman recommends)

So there.

And Ebay charges fees to its seller for posting their wares cause,
they have an excellent support team, to make sure the sellers are legit,
to even the playing field, to pay for their massive expenses,
although the fees aint much, but when ya sell....especially a 2nd hand item,
you usually can make a good profit, usually adjusted thru the shipping costs...

Honestly, I've only used it once or twice. I think I've bought something from there before as well. The fact is I would never sell on ebay. If anything goes wrong, it's almost always the seller that is charged for it, even if it was in working condition when they sent it. I use craigslist a lot, though, and it really is only for selling stuff locally. Easy to get scammed if you are selling expensive stuff like a car or something. Lot of people from Asia and Europe that like to send you fake checks and want you to wire transfer money. All I have to say about that is never to accept buyers that arent local, because you most likely will end up in trouble you didn't want.

Yes, I have use ebay. I have bought Wii's, Computer parts, cables & other stuff. It is great. But like you said you have to read everything about what you are buying. I also look at the sellers history.
