Nintendo NES - How much are they worth where you live?

Here in New Zealand these are very hard to come by - I recently sold all 4 of mine, each on fetching about $70 - $110 each. The games sell here for about $15 - $40 each. All prices are NZD. I understand these prices are really high compared to other countries - how much are they where you live?

Well for NES, I would say buying them off of a vendor can cost you anywhere from about $9.99 all the way to $49.99 depending on the game. I find the prices a little out of whack, but I would pay that much for the classics they are worth it.

Glacial Inferno is an unknown quantity at this point

Last I checked a local store around here sells the model 1 NES consoles for $49.99 and the model 2 top-loader for somewhere around $69-$79 or so. The games are fairly cheap though, most of them don't go for more than $20, and that's just the harder to find stuff.

I'm guessing in CA, U.S.A, $50-100 for the system. and on video games, depending on the rare games.

They're hard to find but when I find them I usually can get them from anywhere from a $1 to $15. In some cases I can get'em for that cheap a long with a whole bunch of games. It's been a while though and they're much harder to come by now then they were back then so I imagine it probably costs a bit more. If you know where to look though there are bargains all over the place, 'specially at yard sales/garage sales n' such. Even in the newspaper. Craigslist is a great place too. Just say, "i'm looking for an NES!" and I guarantee you'll get at least one response in your local area.

If you're curious i'm from the US.

I should do that as my parttime job just selling NES sytem's as I find'em lol. I mean, dang. They sell pretty high there. Ur well uh. What's the "exchange rate" for NZD to USD?

Google says,

1 U.S. dollar = 1.60076837 New Zealand dollars

=D

Means on average I can get about an average of $17-$25 USD profit per NES if your figures are accurate and people actually buy online as i'm obviously not going to drive or fly to New Zealand.. XD.

and I would say about an average of a $2 to $5 profit per NES game, maybe even more depending on the rarity of the game(At yard sales people don't know what's rare and what's not, =D)

I would say within the US I could probably get about a little above half that average. As in about $9.20-$14.50 for an NES and $1+ to $3.50+ per NES game(obviously including the shipping costs for the individual game..=o)

Of course these are just off the top of my head estimates. Probably would make more judging by the fact that they get more rare as every day passes.

For that much, everything better be in the original packaging and come with a sandwich.
