Man Dies Playing Wii Fit.

Well,, Title explains..

A 'fit and healthy' 25-year-old man collapsed and died in front of his girlfriend while playing Wii Fit.

Tim Eves was playing Wii Fit's jogging game, which requires the player to jog on the spot, when he slumped to the floor.

His girlfriend Emma Tuck and friend Lewis Hickin called an ambulance and tried to revive Mr Eves. Despite their efforts and those of paramedics, he was declared dead on arrival at hospital.

Mr Eves died on March 4, just hours after returning from Portugal where he had been celebrating his mother's 50th birthday.

His mother June said: "We spoke to him on the phone when he was playing on the Wii machine.

"But a little while after he had put the phone down, he collapsed for no reason. It was completely out of the blue."

Fit and well
Mr Eves, who was a scout leader and enjoyed cycling and fishing, had been fit and well.

Although the cause of death remains unidentified, his family have been told he could have been killed by Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. This is a disorder of the electrical system of the heart that can cause death in apparently healthy people without warning.

Tim's father said: "Tim packed so much into the 25 years that even if he had lived another 25 years he couldn’t possibly have made any more friends.

"We all loved him so much."

A post-mortem has been held but the cause of death is yet to be determined.

This should be moved to Worldwide News. This really has nothing to do with Nintendo other than the Wii being the system he played when it happened.

It really isn't Nintendo faults, how may times have you heard a person die by Wii Fit? Mistakes like these happen, and by that things like this can happen too, but that is sad. He was just jogging in place and slipped, and died, that's just really sad.

If you read it, it says he collapsed for no reason, he didn't slip xD. There was a problem with his body.

Problem with his body? I thought he was all fit and such. But still, I'm just saying, something like that by just falling because of some disease or such and dieing, that's just sad.

As far as the article suggests, I thought he was just struck by death, literally. The death had nothing to do with the Wii Fit, it just that because the article says he died whilst doing something the reason can subconsiously associate the two.

So yea, I don't think Wii Fit has to do with anything in this, so you might aswell as just move this to the WWN, P, & R section.

This is so sad... I hope he's okay. However, I think a moderator should move this to the Worldwide News section, due to the fact that it has no reference to Nintendo besides the fact that he was playing WiiFit...
