Microsoft look to surpass Nintendo in Motion.

EA Sports boss Moore adds Sony is "probably" investing in the same direction. Both companies have been rumoured to be working on motion controllers for quite some time now.

"I think that, knowing Microsoft in particular obviously, is that they are constantly thinking three to five years ahead of where consumer behaviour's going to be," Moore told GameTrailers, "how do people want to interact with their games, and are probably thinking about - not how do we replicate, you know, motion control, but how do we go one step further?"

"So, to your point, I think they're doing that and I think Sony are probably the same," concluded Moore, when asked about motion controllers.

Sony has been linked with a break-apart motion controller that they have down in the labs, though technically speaking the PS3 already employs some degree of motion control in the SIXAXIS and DualShock 3 gamepads.

Can Sony and Microsoft's madmen scientists revolutionize motion control somehow?
Thoughts?

I wish them luck with that. They might be a better console overall...IMO anyways, but passing Nintendo in motion censoring tech won't be easy. At least they got that right.

Either way, it's the only step forward they have right now, until VR hits in 10 years.

Yeah, it's the only option! They can spruce it up a bit, like stick a bunch of grip pads and they will be selling imediatly. Geese what has this world come to!

the only thing with this is they are looking to surpass the WII'S technology. Nintendo has a head start on the Motion and is most likely looking into ways to improve it. Nintendo has a head start and the top name in the business! they will out shoot Microsoft and Sony in the Next gen. consoles! and i can almost promise that.

2 things:

1. Now, Microsoft and Sony fanboys, this is proof of what I HAVE BEEN THINKING ALL ALONG: They know Nintendo's wa is better so they are having a copy-cat

2. I totally agree, Nintendo has a massive head start. After all, there are always other ways they can do it that no one has thought of.

Lol

Or maybe they never had a pratical use for it. Besides, they won't try to copy Nintendo's tech, they'll try to make their own which surpasses Nintendo's.
