Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Pedal to the medal! The old retro Mario Kart still shines and is favorited by most people. Is it really worth the money?
Pretty simple and not rushed considering it is only a Nintendo game. Could be better. 8.5/10
Four different cups to choose from, many modes to play on, and dozens of karts and characters to earn. What exactly are these cups?
Mushroom Cup- Luigi Circuit, Peach Beach, Baby Park, Dry Dry Desert
Flower Cup- Mushroom Bridge, Mario Circuit, Daisy Cruiser, Waluigi Stadium
Star Cup- Sherbert Land, Mushroom City, Yoshi Circuit, DK Mountain
(Must be Unlocked)Special Cup- Wario Coliseum, Dino Dino Jungle, Bowser Castle, Rainbow Road
(Must be Unlocked)All Cup Tour- All 16 stages in random order, starting with Luigi Circuit and ending with Rainbow Road.
When playing with more than 2 players you can battle with Bomb-Ombs or bash it out with red, green shells and all the special items that you would use in a Grand Prix. On the downside, CPUs can't be played against. :\
There is also an additional option, Time Trials. Obviously, most of you know what this means. This is good to practice for those brutal 150 Cc or Mirror cup.
Each character has their own special attack, they follow:
Peach/Daisy: Invincible Heart
Baby Mario/ Baby Luigi: Chain Chomp
Koopa/Paratroopa: Triple Shells, More Red Shell Frequency
DK/Diddy Kong: Giant Banana
Bowser/ Bowser Jr: Bowser Shell
Toad/Toadette: Super Golden Mushroom
Petey Piranha/ King Boo: All above Specials
Arrow Key- Stear, Manuever
X,Y- Item Usage
Z- Switch drivers
This is where I consider another downfall on Mario Kart's behalf. All the sounds are basically the same, just refurbished a bit.
The game itself is interesting, if you haven't been into the Mario Kart series or have a later edition, dont bother getting this game. If your interested in getting it, start with this one. It's a classic.
