What should I buy?

I'm putting this thread in debate forum because that's what I want you guys to do...debate.

UPDATE:

THE PURCHASE HAS BEEN MADE.

I got an X-Box 360 Go Pro Edition (60g, $300) and Fallout 3.
I also got a warranty with it, so hopefully I won't have to worry about the red ring of death.
I've always been a Nintendo-phile, and I have never ever had a Sony, Sega, or X-Box console.
I decided to see how the other half lives.
(apparently, they live with much better graphics and a way larger selection of FPS's)

Anyway, because of my completely sheltered life from everything not released on Nintendo, I've decided not to close this thread, but rather to change the topic of debate.
Basically, I want you guys to come up with FIVE essential games to get for my X-Box (I'll explain the rules of debate below...)
Now, if anyone has any problems with where this thread is located, talk to me before moving it, but I think it can stay in Debates, and doesn't need to move to the Microsoft/PS forum.

Okay, here are the rules:
-I already have Fallout 3, so don't mention it.
-I have zero interest in HALO, unless someone feels like really convincing me.
-Resident Evil 5 is probably my next purchase, and I would own it already if it had come out on the Wii. So that's covered.
-Remember, this is a debate, so convince me why these five are essential to me as a gamer
-Pretty much the only FPShooters I've played are Perfect Dark for the N64, and the Metroid Prime Series (if you consider it a true FPS), so I have very little experience with the genre.
-Ask me questions about my gaming taste, I'll answer...

Alright, guys.
NEW SUBJECT!

(this was the original post...)
I recently won a two hundred dollar gift card for Best Buy in a Guitar Hero competition, and I have no idea what to get.

Here are some things I already own:

The original DS
A Wii
Several awesome Wii games (most of the main Nintendo ones, and a couple indies)
Every DS game that I've been interested enough to buy.
a crappy DVD player.
an 8g Samsung MP3 player.

Basically I've been leaning towards a DSi ($169.99) and maybe a mem card for it.

What do you guys think?

Should I get a Blu ray player? An X-Box 360 Arcade version? (I really do want a 360, but is the arcade worth it?)

Let's hear some suggestions...

He already owns a Wii.
I think you should get a 360 if you don't already have one. I mean a DSi is just upgrades, not really a new system. With 360 you can experiment with more games like Halo, Gears of War, and whatever else Microsoft fanboys shoot people over.

If you get an Xbox, don't get the Arcade. Not much you can do with it.

If you buy the $300 one, you need to buy a internet adapter for wireless, which is very expensive, and Xbox Live which is $50 every year if you renew it.
Really, you should get the $400 PS3 if you want to play the games Wii misses out. 360 and PS3 have almost all the same games, and there exclusives are basically the same type of games.
DSi is a dumb buy if you already got a DS. But if you play handhelds often, and i mean VERY often, then it would be worth it.

Or get a laptop.

I say save it, to get the 300 dollar 360. It has the biggest selection of games. If you want to watch HD movies, Save money to just buy a PS3. You can watch movies in HD and play video games.

Well, the DS I have is about to bite the dust, I think.
The original silver paint is peeling off, it no longer has a bar code, and I kinda just want a new one. I play DS alot. More than Wii.

Not that your opinions haven't been valid...I appreciate the input.

One of the things I should've specified is that I really can't afford to go very much beyond the $200 price tag. So whatever I get can only be like, $250 tops.

So unfortunately, an arcade X-Box is really my only choice, especially since Sean says the other upgrades are also expensive, that limits me from getting a $300-plus version.

PS3 is kinda outta the question, but I have been thinking about getting a gaming laptop.
How much would a decent one run?

I don't think you'll get a really good laptop with 250. Mine was 500 and I think it's poop. Then again it is Vista so idk...maybe you should get the DSi then.

You'd be better off with a gaming desktop for the money, and even then, $200 is no where close. $500 is no where close. $1000 is getting there.

Here's what I think you should do, honestly. Forget the DSi. If your DS goes, get a cheap DS Lite somewhere, possibly second-hand. Use the $200 to buy gifts for the holidays, birthdays, wife, etc. Money is hard to come by these days and if there's any gift-giving events coming up, you have a free ticket there.

DSi.

End of story,
since your leaning towards getting that particular item
in the first place, as well as stating that you play and
are still playing your DS quite ALOT.

So,
go with your gut and just fly with what
you wanted in the first place, it'll probably make you happy.

Upgrade!

Then sell the DS.

LOL.

How in the heck did you win a Guitar Hero comp.?

Squirty (Ender; wow scary.....) must have alot of time on his hands....
LOL.
