My monitor is wacked up

Not a Nintendo specific question but I assume general tech questions can be asked here.

My computer's colors are messed up, everything has lost color and seems in black and white almost. Most colors are still here but the worst is red, there is no red and all red shows up as black on here and pink is gray. Anyone know how to solve this problem? This is extremely annoying.

Probably one of 2 options. Get a new monitor, or up your video card. Chances are, if your monitor is losing color/saturation, it's got more to do with the monitor itself that it would your video card.

Get a new monitor. It's a wonder you've held on to this one as long as you have.

Here is what I would do try wiggling the cable coming from your computer to your pc. Or buy a new one.

Well considering how he describes it, a loose cable could be possible, along with a loose or damage VGA input.

I tried the cable, didn't work. Eventually it went back to normal on its own though, like usual. But this is probably only temperary. I can see it getting messed up again in the future like it always does.

Krystal I don't have a job, I don't have money for a new monitor. I'd rather buy a laptop because this thing is just far to old, its memory is constantly running low and can't run HD videos very well. (its RAM is 384MB)
