I have no idea. I've never played it myself, but I would imagine it's to finish the story as well.

if that's its only purpose, then i call bull****.

3 finished the story fine. it didn't wrap up all the loose ends, but told us enough. it showed us where Snake came from, and that was plenty to guess where he was going.

4 is just masturbation, that's the best word for it

I'd like to think that's not it's only purpose, but I wouldn't know. I've known others to love it, but they were heavy duty MGS fans.

Nice analogy. Masturbation...for the fanboys. Lol

It's wife mode. The game plays itself and takes over completely, in your case.

I actually like the game, sure there were a lot of cutscenes, but the MGS series is best known for its movie-like features, so it really didn't bother me

This might be true, but I believe MGS4 went a bit overboard with it. Other parts have their moments, but this feels kind of like an extra thing for fans.

Siberianhusky89 We have a Nintendo Fan in the Making

Well, actually, there is quite a bit of gameplay if you actually take your time and such. The stealth is a bit harder and in my opinion, better, of course people can STILL memorize their way through "-_- *Sigh* Anyhow, the story gets more interesting and as usually, shooting things is fun (If you learn to do it right) but getting too close to the enemies is more dangerous than before now. Anyhow, you're gonna be amazed by two big parts of the game, I won't ruin it, but both are near the end and one is... well, one is kind of nostalgic

People can memorize all 100 digits of something if they wanted to. They're just capable of doing such things quite easily, which is weird, but at the same time very cool sometimes.
