My Rock Band bass pedal broke :(

So this morning I was just drumming on Rock Band as usual, when I heard a
snap. I paused the game and looked down, and realized part of the pedal had
almost snapped in half. I could still play, but I decided to stop anyways.
Later I came back and made a very dumb decision... I played the drums
again, I figured it could withstand my feet. It didn't. I was playing Sabotage
on expert when it completely snapped in half.

Now I'm gonna have to call them and get another drum kit.

Curse my illogical assumptions.

EDIT: Now the yellow pad on my drum set isn't responding.

AHGH

Wow, that must be a pretty flimsy pedal. How much do they cost?

$44.99 apparently.

Also they're made out of plastic, real pedals are made out of metal.

M'kay, just got my new set in.
It sounds and feels a lot different, so hopefully this one won't break.

Wow, Im always hearing of Rock Band drums breaking..

Maybe for the Wii version when it comes out, they will have fixed some of the technical faults.

PS Rock Band isn't released yet here in NZ. We don't even have a release date, although its supposed to be about November!

So I've made a decision.

I sold my PS2 Rock Band, and bought the 360 version (used). Obviously there ain't no warranty. And a few weeks later the blue pad gave out (Cracked). So I'm gonna try and fix it, or save up and get the Goodwoods mod. It's 4 pads that have flatout awesome rebound, quietness, and lifespan. It costs $150, I think I should save up and go for it.

But first I'll try and fix the current broken set. Soo, the way I'm gonna do this is this: I'm gonna replace the PS2 drum set blue pad (It broke too, red pad fell off) and put it into the 360 set. My dad might be able to help me with this.

Well amazingly my friend fixed my drum set. What I believe he did was (Wasn't really paying attention):
1. Unplug both drum sets
2. Take out the blue drum pad (360)
3. Get some tweezers and pull out this connector thing, to put the wires from the drum pad in
4. Take out the blue pad (PS2)
5. Plug the PS2 blue pad into the 360 connector thingy (That I mentioned before)
6. If you have any other broken pads, do the same thing.
7. ???
8. Profit

This really only works if, for some reason, you got different drum sets lying around. Or at least two different model sets.

If you are looking for a cheap quick fix, just find something around the house that is fairly durable ad\ne will run most of the length of the pedal. Then duct tape the object to the pedal. I used 2 butter knives on mine. It looks ugly, but it works well.
