Monster Rancher

Monster Rancher was a contender in the "raise your own monsters" war of the early 90's. You guys probably already know that though. it didn't get quite as much attention as Pokemon and Digimon, but it was still pretty good. it started on the ps1, and there were a couple for ps2 as well. In order to get a new monster, you couldn't simply go out a catch it, however. You put in various discs - CDs, DVDs, those computer discs that came in the male - in place of the game disc. A monster was then created based on the games data. Anyone else think they should make one for ps3?

I don't know. I never got into this series, I think it only did well because of the anime, same with Digimon.

I would love to see a MR for PS3! I don't know where mine is for PS1 .
The creating a monster by putting another disc in was brilliant. Putting in your favorite CD's to see what monster you get was always exciting. Though the was more repeats then there should have been, and some discs where invalid and held no monsters.

But i would guess the game would be hard to sell since not alot of people know about it anymore. Only 1 guy at my work knows.

But ifva new one came out, i would pick it up right away.

Yeah, I remember me and my cousin in the floor in front of the tv, popping in every disc we could find.

I never liked it.

It just a boring anime.

There are heaps of better ones.

I remember in Monster Rancher 4, if you put in DOA 3, you could get Kasumi as a monster. There were others like this, but that's the only one I remember.
