More Prime?

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption may not be the last game in the Prime series. With Other M on the way next year, some might have thought that the Prime series had come to an end but, as Nintendo's Kensuke Tanabe told ONM, the series may still have a future.

Asked whether Samus will ever return to DS, Tanabe (who oversaw Retro Studios' series for Nintendo) said "We are always planning to make new games in the Metroid Prime series. Depending on the timing and the situation, we cannot deny the possibility of realising it on DS or DSi."

That's not a problem- it's the architecture of the game. The doors are actually cleverly disguised loading screens. That's why it takes awhile for doors to open some times- it's loading the next area. It's an impediment, but unless you only like one single area, it's not a "problem" per se.

And oh god, please, no more prime DS shooters. One is enough, and it was terrible. They need to leave the series where it is and move on to something new. 3RD person full 3D would be a nice change of pace. You could switch between 2d and 3d like in super paper mario.

Hunter's single player was terrible, but I quite enjoyed the multiplayer...well, until everyone starting cheating....

it's a problem when it takes 10 seconds to load and totally kills the coherence and flow. Prime's door's averaged about 3 seconds. Echoes' were more or less the same. Corruption's were pretty bad; probably more like 7 seconds. Hunters was the worst by far

I barely consider hunters a part of the prime series at all, despite its name sake. Hunters is garbage. The graphics were terrible (the DS can do much better), the controls were awkward, and like you said, horrible load times. For a game like MP3 though, there's really only so much you can do. The disc has to spin, after all. It's either that, or have an annoying loading screen...I think we know which one is better.

Metroid Prime Trilogy fixed this problem though, the loads are much shorter.

Rep up man, that's great information. Is that your theory or have you heard it somewhere else?

It's simple deduction. I'm sure someone else figured out long before me. Obviously the game has no loading screens, and there aren't enough cut scenes to hide loading screens in them, so the only possible conclusion is that the doors themselves are the loading screens, which also explains why they take so long to open.
