Cool Is the GameBoy SP more convenient to carry around than the DS?

As the title implies.....

Is the GameBoy SP more convenient to carry around than the DS/DSi?

I mean sure the DS and DSi have more capabilities and features,
graphical power than the GBA SP, but as far as convenience go,
do you sometimes find yourself stuffing a GBA SP into your pocket,
and gaming on the go with it than the DS?

The DS/DSi (even the Lite versions) are bulky,
and you gotta have a big set of pockets to put em into.

But as for the GBA SP, its so compact and rather lightweight,
that it fits snuggly in year jean pockets, and feels comfy.

Not to mention when you put it into your hand carry
for when you travel, its so convenient to take out and play on
your table tray, and has that nostalgic retro-semi-futuristic look.

I'd say I still have fun with the DS Lite, but I find myself reaching for the SP more often than not, as it's right in the lamp shade cabinet near my bed.

How many of you prefer the GBA SP for handheld gaming than the DS/DSi?
Do you still play it?

Rockn.

i prefer the SP, mostly because i like playing pokemon and metroid, and the DS metroid games never really appealed to me.

so yes, the SP is more convenient

i hated the SP. it was shaped weird, had a lame backlight, and like the ds, hurt your hands because of its ergonomic fail

so, i would say no. i do not prefer carrying around the SP to the DS lite, but i would to the original DS

however gameboy micro beats them all

It's a shame the Micro didn't sell better. It does lose multiplayer and backwards compatibility, but the image quality and design is genius.

Cool

Speaking of GameBoy Micro....
since its sooooo small and kinda thin,
was durability and the perception that it can be "lost" easily
in a cluttered room, ever an issue?

Rockn.

Well of course it's more convenient; it's smaller.
The Micro is obviously even more convenient, since it is even smaller and more ergonomic.

Yeah, the SP is smaller and the games are even more fun when on the go. DS games are kinda for when you're sittin' around the house taking a break from your big console. Plus with the DS it's a pain when you lose your stylus.

none of those are a problem. the micro is designed exceptionally well. losing it would be your own fault, anyway
