Nope. The games usually cost more than they should, but I've put hours into some of them and love them. The problem is the Wii's size limit.

The games in themselves are pretty good. I've been playing NyxQuest a lot lately, and some Contra Rebirth when I can be bothered. World of Goo is great with the Wii controls, and there are some good titles on the way like La Mulana, Night Game, and Cave Story.

Then there's games that had a lot of potential, but didn't quite earn their price tag. I reviewed one such title.

Well, like everything else, it depends on the game. for example, world of goo is a title that I would've paid full price for. The fact that it's wiiware just made it cheaper, and that much better! Then there's Megaman 9 as well. Sure some of them are going to suck. Is every single full priced game on the wii awesome? No. There are duds. same for any system or service.

Wiiware is a lazy excuse to not have to do all the work to put out VC games. Plus little kids judge a book by it's cover and get their parents to buy stupid wiiware for them.

Only things wiiware has been good for is Contra Rebirth, Gradius Rebirth, Driift & mega man 9. All sequels to older games that were good and popular. Why can't they do that more often? I want DKC 4

I find it funny that you consider WiiWare a lazy move, when it is in fact much easier to re-release old VC games than it is to produce, approve, rate, and schedule WiiWare games. VC is a lazy excuse not to put out WiiWare games.

I wouldn't say so... All the encoding and crap that has to be done to carry over old games.

Then you'd be wrong, since all that "encoding and crap" would also apply to WiiWare titles as far as menus and whatnot are concerned.

As for the games themselves, take a look at their files. They're just ROMs. Yes, Nintendo is actually that lazy. All they're doing are taking ROMs, freely available on the Internet (although illegally) and making them compatible with Wii. As far as the code for the game itself, nothing is ever touched.

EDIT: Actually, here. You don't have to decrypt it online; looks like someone already has. And here I thought my friend was the only one. Looks like the laziness of VC is very, very old news:

Meh. It's ok, they really had no choice not to have WiiWare or they'd get left behind. This means they can test and get a bearings on download technology for the next generation when the technology is powerful enough to tap the potential that the 360 and PS3 can. And thanks to a growing industry, it'll be better
