Super Mario All-Stars

I wasn't really sure if I'd make a thread about this one, but I decided... Screw it XD

My reason is because it's a collection of Mario games in one and it's kind of like reposting all the NES Marios at once in the NES section or something. I know that sounds silly and I know it wasn't against the rules if I did post this, I just felt like it'd be a waste if I did, but at the same time, I felt like it would be stupid of me not to since it was a great creation and remake to the series of Mario games.

Everyone who knows what Mario is or even owned a SNES knows what this game is. It's a collection of all the Mario games for the NES Mario Games. There was a special edition that had all the Mario Games AND Super Mario World. This one is called Super Mario All+Stars + Super Mario World. (The reason I didn't post it like that is because Super Mario World has already been posted before so it'd be pointless to make the title longer than it would need to be)

This game basically has better graphics, solified gameplay, the music is redone, the game is pretty much an improved collection of Marios but the originals are still just as great either way.

Games included in the collection:

Super Mario Bros.

Anybody who's existed in this World, not just gamers, knows what this game is. It's pretty much the reason to the existence of all platformers and stars Mario. Do I even NEED to give an explanation to this game?

Super Mario Bros. 2/Super Mario USA/Doki Doki Panic 2

This game involved picking up objects from the floor and throwing them at your enemies and such. It was the first video game to feature a transvestite character (Birdo).

Super Mario Bros. 2 (The real version)/Super Mario Bros and the Lost Levels

This version was never released in America. It's a way harder version of Mario and plays like Super Mario Bros (The first). Because of how hard it was, it wasn't released in America because the Japanese believed too many Americans would have a hard time with it, so Doki Doki Panic 2 was changed into Super Mario USA.

Super Mario Bros 3.

Probably the most famous Super Mario Bros. This one had many different items and such included, like the feather, frog suit, racoon suit, and others. This one also included a different 2 Player version of Mario Bros. which is really fun to play and will annoy the piss out of you if you're playing against someone during the middle of an actual game of Super Mario Bros 3.

I loved this game.
I still remember me and my nephew(he's only a year younger than me) always trading off between SMW and All-stars

I love the SMB 2 version on this so much. It's weird though, I never really liked playing the SMB3 version.

I don't really understand the point of discussion, but super mario all-stars is a pretty cool game.

@HolySnap

You do have a point my friend. The reason for discussion is not so much the discussion, but more so that people who aren't into the retro scene can get a closer look on what they missed out on. If they want to find some good old fashion SNES games, these are some I'd recommend a try for. Plus, I want to list as many SNES games as I can (But not too close together)

I don't have this game but I did borrow Super Mario All-Stars from a friend about a few years ago and I mostly played The Lost Levels game since I have all three of the original Super Mario Bros. games on the NES. I have another friend who has the Super Mario All-Stars game that has Super Mario World included in it.
