Red Ring of Death Still Alive

Microsoft has invested heavily in the 360 warranty program, and yes the new japser motherboard that came out in 2008 raises the reliabllity bar, but is still alive in the model. mostly microsoft will just swap out the motherboard for a new jasper model if send in, that just leads to another repeated Red Ring incident. this is perfectly timed with most longtime 360 owners falling out of the 3 year warranty window.

So basically get out of here Kryn.

I don't know about this new motherboard frying, but I have been playing my new 360 constantly since I got it and it hasn't even gotten hot around the vents or anything.

My console is pretty reliable...2008 model Elite. Has only had one overheating incident, but that's all.

My model still works okay. I got it in late 2008, but it was not brand new older model (in other words, it was sitting around the factory for a bit, unsold). But I never really play it, it sits horizontally on a cool glass table with plenty of air ventilation, and the room itself is pretty cold, so that might be why it's still functioning so well.

If you own an Xbox 360 and play it even just regularly, it's going to die...eventually. That's just the way it is. It's a half-assed, booty piece of hardware. Jasper only slows the process. No matter how many times it's fixed, replaced with new parts, etc., it's always just a matter of time.

Well my bro got his fixed after his warranty FOR FREE. Yet when I had to get the laser fixed on my Wii when it was No More Heroes disc's fault, I had to pay for the replacement laser. At least I got another NMH disc for free though, since the factory workers agreed that the disc was wider then other discs.
