lol they are trying to be Modern Warfare. what was great about the original MoH games was of course the WWII setting, and i know that has been done to death, but the answer isn't to emulate what is popular at the moment, not for such a trend-setting series

MoH is the reason the WWII shooter was so popular to begin with. but it wasn't just the setting and coolness of shooting Nazis that struck a chord, it was the how the game was steeped in the culture of the era, and played out like an old war film. sure Steven Spielberg fresh off "Saving Private Ryan" serving as producer great, but the problem here is the games never got out of that film's shadow. if the appeal is the feeling of WWII films, there are plenty, plenty more to draw inspiration from

again, updating to modern times and making it "hardcore" is not the answer. sticking to the sweeping classicism that made the series good in the firstplace is the only way to save it

Kilzone? Halo?

actually Metal Gear Solid 4 already beat everyone to the table. the game is all about Private Military Corporations and mass soldier control on subconscious levels

MoH prides itself on being fair to the soldiers and respectful of them and their struggles. They shun the unrealistic, over-the-top action in games like Modern Warfare, so hopefully this game will have a different feel to it. I think this is a good direction for the series to go in, as long as they keep the respectful realism that they are so proud of.

heutenitaz is an unknown quantity at this point

Solid controls aside, this is still the same game you've been playing since the first Medal of Honor. It's a solid shooter with the standard cinematic presentation, but I'd probably be much more excited about it if the 800 other titles in this genre didn't exist.

:/

I kind of want them to stay in the WWII era. It's been done 100 times, yes, but it is better than them attempting to kill Modern Warfare 2 with a clone of it. That might just be me though, who knows.
