Past Fads

Pretty self explanatory. I'll kick it off with something that was a pretty big fad here back in about 2003. I'm sure it wasn't just here, but Beyblade was really big. Everybody had one, and we used to have tournaments at recess at school. Instead of using a proper beystadium, we used the dirt under one of the swings. It was dug out into a sort of bowl shape, and was packed just right.

Now: that crappy COD Mod 2

Jr. High: ... Really not sure...

Elementary: Yugioh, I'd laugh at how into the game people would get. They'd get like the whole arm band thing to put your cards in... Just hilarious... I think I bought one deck of ten cards once, and it was 20 bucks... Pathetic.
Pokemon too for a short time.

In elementary, Pokemon was huuuge. Everyone bought the cards, played the games, and watched the morning show. Interestingly, Spice Girls were a big fad too.

Umm... The popular thing was CoD3, Resistance, and Twilight Princess I guess =/ The only Pokemon players had DS' which was a a small minority of the school. Everyone had Wii's and PS3's. Super Smash Bros. Melee was popular before that.

I don't really remember many fads before that though. Yu-Gi-Oh was kind of popular, but only to the 'Hardcore card gamers'

I must not be the only one who actually remembers the Spice Girls, I used to be into their music alot when I was little.

Other than the Spice Girls being one of my fads, PokeMon was another fad of mine back when I was in elementary school. My older brother was also into the PokeMon fad too. PokeMon was so big in our elementary school that they had to ban everything that was PokeMon related. My brother and I are not into the PokeMon fad anymore but I still have my collection of PokeMon cards, I'm not even sure if my brother still has his PokeMon cards. Right now, my little cousin is into the PokeMon fad but the funny thing is that he used to really be into the Scooby-Doo cartoons and then out of nowhere he was into PokeMon just like that.

I'm not sure if it was really a big school thing back then, but Dragon Ball Z was extremely popular with my brothers and my sister back when I was 5-10. I watched it too, but my one brother bought the first two seasons of it a year or two ago. So we both watched it for the memories. What a corny show.
