I find this bill very disturbing. Americans have just lost more of their freedoms. all they needed to do was fix the problem of high costs not add to the problem and have government take it over using dirty tactics. i want everyone to be able to afford health care. socialism doesn't come free.

ITS MAKING IT SO EVERYBODY CAN AFFORD HEALTH INSURANCE!!!!!!!!!
plus this is going to boost the economy back. with low health insurance costs, people will be able to spend more money. more money means more business, more business mean more jobs, more jobs means lower unemployment rate and so on.

so anyone who has anything bad to say about the healthcare bill is probably ignorrant to it.

Oh god forbid they have to stop screwing part time employees out of benefits. Maybe life is a perfect for you but a lot of people have part time jobs for whatever reason. Up until now it was common for employers to give them like 39 hours to keep them just under the full time bracket so they can save money, at the expense of peoples well being. Maybe you're selfish enough to think money is more important than peoples lives but I'm not.

Honestly I hope this causes some of the worst to go out of business. I think making money at the expense of your employees is criminal.

i'm in scotland, and we have the nhs here, but tbh i couldn't imagine having to pay for a consultation or vital shots/medication or surgery, and with that in mind i just can't understand why people don't support this. it's not even free healthcare, right? it's just cheaper/easier to get. how can that be a bad thing?

ik ik america's already in a lot of debt, but for god's sake so much more money is being spent on other things than on this. take the war, for instance. also, the people creying about socialism - there are plenty of socialistic countries that are doing perfectly fine. socialism =/= communism

idk as i say, i'm not american, so this isn't going to affect me directly, but i'm going to go right out and say the people opposed to this because they'll have to pay more in taxes are just tragic. hello, your privilege is showing

this is something that can genuinely help other people. if you think someone's too poor to deserve health care, then you need to take a step back and reassess your values

I agree, it seems like the people against this bill are in favor of every man for himself. They don't seem to understand the concept of community or compassion. I guess it's a good thing they refused to compromise on the bill and they were left out of it. Maybe next time they'll grow up and participate the way the government is intended to work.

I bet you have not read the bill yet. You wont because you are afraid of the truth that is in this bill. You didn't even read my statement. I believe all people should be able to afford healthcare. The government needs to fix the greed with the insurance companies,hospitals and the lawyers.

Research something instead of believing everything that came out of your liberal teachers mouth.

Remember the part in the ObamaCare pitch when they said if you like your current healthcare, it won't change?
Turns out it might.
Companies are already announcing that their healthcare premium costs are going through the roof. Some are responding by firing people. Some are cutting benefits. And some are presumably eating it.
But costs they are a-rising.

A few examples from the WSJ:
-- Caterpillar said it would cost the company at least $100 million more in the first year alone.
-- Medical device maker Medtronic warned that new taxes on its products could force it to lay off a thousand workers.
-- Verizon announced to employees that it will likely have to cut healthcare benefits to offset the new costs.
So, people who like your employer-provided health insurance, get ready to pay more or get less.
