Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy is Mindless Self Indulgence's second studio album out of their total four. Mindless Self Indulgenxe, (or MSI, as I will be referring to the band as for the rest of the review), has a very small fanbase, and so most people on this forum may not have heard of them. The best way to describe their music would be a mix of punk rock and tecno music, with rap vocals. I was considering reviewing each song individually, but the album has thirty songs, and the review would take ages to write and be way too long. So instead, I will talk about the whole album in general.
MSI have chosen to have a large amount very short songs for this album. Almost every song is under three minutes long. The vocals are definitely one of the best things about the album. The vocalist is a male, but he can sing very high. There are so many songs on the album, so it's very hard to choose a favourite song, but some of my favourite songs are “Faggot", “Bitches" and “Cocaine and Toupees". If you only want to buy a few songs from the album rather than the whole album, these are the three songs I would suggest purchasing.
The lyrics are definitely not like any regular song lyrics. Some of my favourite lines from this album are:
"I love my Mummy 'cause she f**ked the s**t out of my Dad"
"Dicks are for my friends when they come to my house"
"Bitches love me 'cause they know that I can f**k"
As you can probably tell, this album contains a large amount of inappropriate language, and is not for the feint hearted. If you are worried about your children being exposed to explicit music, then MSI is most likely not the band for you. If you don't happen to be impressed by the lyrics but you like the style of the music, then I would suggest that you listen to MSI's latest album, “If". The band's lyrics have more meaning in this album, and you can tell that the band has matured. I personally like the immaturity of this album.
