Lost my PSP memory card. Do I need to hack it again?

Back in May, my memory card was either stolen or lost by a friend of mine...Earlier, I hacked it so I could play homebrew emulators & PS1 games. Now I KNOW that a memory stick is required to hack a PSP because there are files that need to placed in order to do so...

Just a few minutes ago I ordered an adapter (Very cheap!) that will allow my PSP to use my cell phone's former MicroSD card to store memory in my PSP.

Also, will this work? Or should I just save a lot of $$$ for a new SanDisk memory stick?
