By themselves? No

With an adult/parent...well, that's a different story. Depends on the kid.

As for the ratings, they don't stop kids from playing CoD, so I seriously doubt they'd stop kids from seeing something R-rated anyways.

Most definitely. I see no problem with a kid watching a PG-13 or R rated movie, just like I have no problem with them playing an M rated game. Of course, if they start crying or acting immature, they'd better leave the theatre or at least compose themselves.

Depends on the age.
By the time you're 12 you should be allowed to watch all the gore you want.

Xbox Live Gamertag: Mr Moonlightt
It doesn't matter. Kids are getting more technologically intelligent at younger and younger ages. They will eventually discover torrents, and watch all the movies they want.
Hence, the reason there are 10 year olds on Xbox LIVE that know exactly how a baby is made. And won't shut up about it.

I can see it now, "Baby born with iPhone in its hands. Doctors puzzled.".

That would both be funny, and ironic, considering the iPhone is made for idiots.

I'd rather have a Droid.
