Question Toy guns,Should they be banned?

i have two younger brothers and playing with toy
guns is just a boy thing!me and all of my brothers have been playing with plastic firearms since we were little, and now I want to buy some toy guns for them ,
Just like this gun:
http://www.sourcingmap.com/toy-super-submachine-gun-electrical-motivated-army-military-equipment-p-16517.html
but I was so surprised and astonished at their talk at the Capital that they were going to ban toy guns, because they look too much like real guns. One store in my area has already pulled the toy guns off the shelves. The police are saying that it is hard for people and for the cops to tell the difference if a car is just driving by, etc…
why they do this???
Do you think they should be banned?
How about violence on TV, and video games, how do you think it is impacting children?

No, I don't think toy guns should be banned. I went to go buy a cap gun for a birthday party at Toys R Us, and they said they don't sell caps, and haven't for a few years. Supposedly cops were shooting too many kids when they were playing with guns in their yards. I think that is total BS.
Only place I could find that sold caps and cap guns was at Wal-Mart.

No, they shouldn't be banned. Also, i think children should have experience with guns, to see how powerful and dangerous they can be, so they know not to mess with them when they are older. If they learn they are dangerous when they are young, it will stick with them as they get older.

I have fake guns in my house, and I also have real ones. Rifles, handguns, you name it. I don't think they should be banned, because they can't really do anything. Playing with them is fine, but when idiots try to rob stores with them, then it gets stupid.

They're harmless in the sense that they don't CAUSE any physical harm, but think of it this way...

Do we really want to teach our kids that A.) Guns are cool, B.) Guns are playthings, or C.) Violence is acceptable, because guns are a popular toy?

Imagine if there was a toy landmine.
Or a toy grenade.
Or a toy switchblade.
In fact, these probably already exist...but should they?
I think kids having realistic looking, sounding, and feeling toy guns desensitizes them and makes it more acceptable to handle guns.
I'm all about the second amendment, but I don't think six year olds should be playing with machine guns.

I used to have a toy grenade and blade, it was for fun. Its the parents choice if they will let there kid play with toy guns.
You think that just because kids playing with guns "desensitizes" them. thats bull.
Kids arent going to grow up and be killers if in there childhood they played with TOY guns. But if you feel thats the case, then i'm going to be a killer...?
