-85% Respect For Sony

A Month ago my fathers PS3 had aform of the YLoD. His would turn on but then turn off in around eather 5 mins to 5 secs. But never Blinked Yellow.
I called Sony for him and set up a Repair. It was under Warrenty. sense it wasnt a year. they knew this due to the Serial Number, and I want you to remember that. every system had a Serial Number. As I know u all prolly know.
Anyways, they send me a box via fedex... My father put a note in the with the system saying whats wrong with it and how hes games r on the HDD. hoping they can fix the system.
We Shipped it out in September.

We Wait.....

A near 2 month wait it returns yesterday. My father takes it out of the box happy to see his PS3 again. Alas a sheet says it was not fixed due to it not having a Serial Number.
WTF? I come over look at the system. this system has no number and is sticky with some shit. somthing that was not on his. We hook it up to see if it is in fact his. We plug it in and try to use the controllers to turn it on. None work. (if it was his system then the controllers would have turned it on)
We go via the on button on the system. this one has the YLoD. doesnt even turn on. His would at least turn on.
I call Sony up.
Saying "Hey yall sent me the wrong system" they go on to say that I'm a lier and they sent ithe one they got back.
I give them some Proof.

- the Serial Number that was used to set up to repair
- why did it take 2 months?
- Why arnt my controllers synced?
- There was no Sticky stuff on his
- where is the note we put in it if they just sent it back?

I only got thre same reply everytime. "We sent back what we got"
Now We are pissed. my father even more so.
I want to speak to someone higher up.
I get this lady. She hears my story and says she will look into it and call me back tomorrow (today) NOTHING
I call back.
Even more pissed then ever.
I get this person who says he basicly doesnt care u got what u sent in. I want to go higher up in the chain of command now.
So it turn out the top dog named Jeff is looking into it. says he will call. Ok we shall see I.

The thing that really pisses me off is how lil they care. I understand accidents happen. chances are they were working on more then one at a time and it got boxed in the wrong box.
But they dont care. they wont even check the cameras to see if that happend. (unless thats what Jeff is doing)
But its just said how lil of repect they give to the costomer like myself.
everything was in the PS3. his ID and Wallet money. So if someone got it they will prolly have fun with with his wallet.

Now if this Jeff does investigate and cant find anything, the next step is to go after FedEx. I dont see why a person would take a system that didnt really work anyways. But weirder shit has happend b4.
I'll let u guys kno whats happend and if they find mine or if the tech guy f-ed up our system or if I find out FedEx has stolen it.
At this point Sony has been dicks about it till I got to Jeff and even then I cant say he will keep his work or if he just ed BS'ed me to get off the phone like the other have b4 him.
so for now Sony has lost alot of repesct from Both Myself and my Father

If you red ring, without a warranty, they would still fix it as a "My Bad" situation. I wonder if they are still doing that, even after the two new Processors, that don't cause overheating.

the one time I had to deal with Sony's CS was alright, but everyone I know, both personaly and online seems to have some horror story about them. It's pretty ridiculous. Sony seems to like keeping systems longer than necessary.
