What are your Top 5 Movies..

Mine would have to be:

Sunshine
This movie is just pure awesome. Its really deep, and has heaps of twists and turns that are just so unexpected. Plus its good to sit back and relax and watch. I also find it interesting that rather than focusing on action and violence it focuses on the human mind, and human error etc.

The Matrix
Who is more awesome than Neo? Mr T? Perhaps... But this movie is truly brilliant. The storyline is so complex and interesting, and the action is better than any other movie I have ever seen. The fights and bullet-dodging are the best.

Dawn of the Dead (2004 Remake)
This move has no proper beginning and no proper ending. It is basically an hour and a half of mindless violence. There is plenty of blood and gore in this movie, as well as guns. The headshots are so disgusting it will make you squirm, as the zombies are blown apart. 10 out of 10 for mindless violence and destruction

Planet Terror

This move is just ridiculous. It is sort of a parody of action movies. its so awesome that its actually funny.. There is plenty of violence and comedy in it, as well as some ridiculous things, like a woman with a machine gun for a leg. This is all part of the parody I guess. Anyway, the movie is also made to look like it is being played in an old cinema, and there are scratches and holes in the film etc.

Scary Movie 3

I haven't yet found a movie with the same amount of jokes as this movie. It seems that every line of dialogue is a joke. The movie follows a vague storyline, but everything is presented extremely funnily. Not only is it packed with jokes, the jokes are also extremely subtle at times, and often very clever. It took me a few views of the movie to fully get some of the jokes - they are sometimes so sly you don't even notice them this is by far the best comedy I have ever seen.

Shaun of The Dead
Hilarious parody of zombie movies (Lol, Gamerman). It's about an average guy and his buddy who end up facing an zombie outbreak. If you liked the two guys in this movie, try watching Hot Fuzz.

Little Miss Sunshine
A funny and heart touching film, about a little girl who wants to go to California with her dysfunctional family to be in a beauty contest. What's really funny is their trip trying to get there.

Sicko
A chilling documentary by Michael Moore, that tells us about America's health care.

The Blair Witch Project
A real scary film.

Bowling for Columbine
Another documentary by Michael Moore, only this time it's about gun control and other things. Has to do with the Columbine Massacre in Colorado.

I love of how Cinderella sucks you into the dreadful life of Cinderella, it really grasps the inner reaches of my heart. It left me in tears.

Ok, I loved all of these movies except for the Blair Witch Project (I swore an oath to never see it...) and Shaun of the Dead is definitely in my top five, so I'll come up with my next top five...

The Empire Strikes Back
This one is hands down my favorite movie from childhood, and I can still watch it a zillion times, so it'll never be knocked off the list. "Apology accepted, Captain Needa."
Fight Club
An amazing book turned into an amazing movie, all the three main actors are spot on, and the movie is far deeper than the title implies. "I try not to think of the words searing; flesh."
Amelie
If you can tolerate foreign language films (and if you can't, shame on you, learn to read...)then this is probably the cutest, funniest, most avant garde film ever made. I love it.
Rushmore
A brilliantly funny movie by Wes Anderson (in fact, all of his movies are in my top ten, and this one just eeked out The Royal Tenenbaums), it has some of the driest humour, and the most wonderful sets and camera work I've ever seen. Serpico: The Play is a highlight of the film.
The Squid and the Whale
Probably the funniest, saddest, and most engrossing case of screenwriting I've ever come across. It centers around a family of four in the early eighties, and is way funnier than Little Miss Sunshine...
