Worst NES Game

Just curious to see what you think is the worst NES game ever. Be it a stupid storyline, terrible controls, whatever. I just want to know what you think the real stinkers are.

hmm...zelda 2. 4 way controls, envoirments are repetitive, effin boring wandering around the place (i know help came in the manual but oh well)

no seriously, the adventures of lolo (a freakin suicide button) game is just annoying

one of the most boring however is the first zelda without a doubt, and it's quite obvious why

Cheetahmen, no doubt, released with the rest of the crap known as Action 52.

As horrible as this game looks, the music sounds great.

If you thought the first Cheetahmen was bad, then you'll be glad to know they made a sequel equally as crappy as this one.

There's a bit of a backstory behind Cheetahmen II. Active Enterprises, the creators of Action 52 and Cheetahmen, actually planned for Cheetahmen to be a huge success, with comic books, toys, and even an animated series.

However, once it was shown that Action 52 flopped, they took all their Cheetahmen II cartridges -- reused Action 52 cartridges, no less -- and dumped them all in a warehouse. Around 1996, this warehouse was found, and the unlicensed games within were sold on a secondary market.

While copies of Cheetahmen II are still floating around, they are very pricey, with some copies valued at around $1,000. I do believe ROMs exist of it, however....

So that ends the sad rise and fall of Active Enterprises and the Cheetahmen.

Actually, my Church used to have an NES and a copy of Bible Adventures, and I can recall playing it as a child, but I don't have enough memories to form an opinion.

theichibun will become famous soon enoughtheichibun will become famous soon enough

Out of those, I've played Athena, Chubby Cherub, Mighty Bomb Jack, M.U.S.C.L.E., Legend of Kage, and Tag Team Wrestling. I'll get to the rest eventually.

Mighty Bomb Jack is amazing and I love it. It's the best Mario clone I've run into so far. Seanbaby's list gives the game crap because it tells you to draw a map. Other games tell you to draw a map too, so I think this point is just stupid.

The rest of the games I've played though really do suck.

Of those I haven't played:

  • Where's Waldo- What do you expect from a game based on a search and find book?
  • Muppet Adventure - Game obviously made for kids. Games for kids tend to get a bad rap because they're boring and stupid. But would they be boring and stupid if you were 5?
  • Barbie - Game made for girls. Really, games made for girls tend to suck because the industry thinks girls don't play games.
