Cosmetic Testing on Animals

I'm an animal's right activist (if anyone has a problem with this, then I'm sorry for believing what I think is right.) I myself, like to wear make up from time to time, my favorite thing is the eye shadow....Unfortunately I found out they test the eye shadow on bunnies! And lotions on Guinea pigs? It makes me sick to think that animals are used for these purposes. What's your opinion on this?

Being a heterosexual male, I don't wear makeup, so this isn't much of a problem for me.
But I still don't like the whole concept of animal testing. It's not just with makeup, but shampoo, lotions and anything that goes on your skin, really.

Yeah, I find that hard to believe being that you're a joker and everything. I wouldn't be surprised if you secretly ran into your closet when no one's home and dress up like Boy George.

AlexTheGamer1000 is on a distinguished road

you know, PeTA criticized Steve Irwin when he died, comparing him to famous marine biologist Jacques Costeau, and the Australian gov't demanded that PeTA apologizes to the Irwin family and the rest of Australia

I realize, though, that I never expressed my point of view. Personally, I am against it, too. I believe that there could be more effective ways of testing products that end up being voluntary. Similar to pharmaceuticals, have some sort of opt-in program where people test certain hair care products for compensation. Make them also sign a liability waiver in case their hair turns into Medusa. To be honest, I'm not very educated on this topic, so I'm not sure the feasibility of this, but I'd like to think there are better ways to approach this than testing things on animals.

I agree with all of this, but the part I bolded is where you and me find common ground.

Could these companies not build something like sensors to test to see if these cosmetics are dangerous on a substance much like human flesh?

GASP.
Oh my god, how could people be so cruel?
Putting eye shadow on bunnies and lotions on Guinea pigs!
Does evil know no limit? Are humans so evil, so cruel, so diabolic, that they put lotion on guinea pigs?

How could they put eye shadow on the bunnies?
Why on the bunnies?
I'm crying now.
You monsters.
