Link Old 3DS Zelda better than N64 Zelda?

Do you think that the 3DS version will be better than the N64 version? I truly believe that even though the N64 game has been the best game of Nintendo since its release and has never been dragged down by any other game, it's time to pass the crown to the new version.

I haven't played OoT3D, so I can't offer up my full opinion on it yet.

However, it updates the original with new graphics, enchanced sound, new gameplay and modes, and a more streamlined method of selecting items.

Essentially, it right the wrongs that faced the N64 version, yet brings more to the table.

3DS. It looks better and has more features, therefore it's the definitive version.

Yeah, i'm about 205% sure he knew that.

Also, if it is the same game with more and improved stuff, how can it NOT be better? Conventional wisdom would put the 3DS version far ahead.

I've actually played quite a bit of it now. Talking to friends and based off memory the 3ds adds the following:

- Visions stone next to links house that gives little video hints or rather "visions" of the future showing what missions and side missions you can do.

- Enhanced graphics

- optional motion looking system used when targeting or viewing

- 2 equipable item buttons for X & Y as well as equipable item buttons for I & II located on the touch screen as buttons.

- better controls generally with the slide pad which is awesome btw, the only problem to note is that holding both triggers to use the shield and target while moving can hurt.

- Maps shown on the touch screen so you always can see it

- easier item/menu navigation via touch screen or controls.

That's about all I can think of right now, but it does a lot. The visions stone is really handy for newcomers basically like myself since I never got past the Goron quest in past attempts to play this, and I'm now past the mission where you go inside that fish. The visions stone doesn't give away to much, but I've mainly used it to find side quests.

Remember my stance on graphics, folks? Yeah, they aren't incredibly important to me, so this means a lot. I have to say that the graphics are such an improvement. Playing in 2d is not much of an improvement, but playing in 3d is stunning. It is crystal clear is the best description. It's almost like the cartoon-like game that is OoT is taken away and it's just beautiful in 3d. Graphics take a huge step up in 3d compared to 2d, even on the 3ds itself. Words cannot describe well enough.

I actually had a good chat with a fellow behind the counter about this game. (i imagine people behind me in the line were pissed)

We both agreed that this game is a major update in every sense. Some frame rate issues have been improved, the graphics look pretty damn lovely and the 3D effects are spectacular. With that said, its already a great game but this just took it further. Nintendo didn't mess around with what was already a classic, they just brushed the dust off a classic.
This game is THE reason to own a 3DS and i really hope they do this with other titles like Mario Kart 64 etc because even though i've been there and played that. Its giving me and millions others a chance to re-live the past.

Pretty much this. I don't have it yet, but from what I've heard it's amazing. I'll probably pick it up over the weekend.
