Moronic Tutorials: MAN-ifesting Brawl matches
Ever wonder how you as a Brawler can really make you matches manly, regardless of who wins or loses? Well, fret not my friends, as I, Alice, a manly veteran, am here to educate. Follow these rules and strategies, and your matches will be much more manlier...
Characters used in matches play a key role in the manly level of matches. Manly characters, such as Captain Falcon or Bowser, should be considered, while characters, such as Sonic or Kirby, have a lower chance of being manly.
Keep in mind that though some characters have low manly potential, they still can be manly, except Sonic. Here is a list of characters categorized by their manly potential:
Very High potential:
Moderately High Potential:
Olimar (Without Pikmin)
Pokemo Trainer (Charizard or Ivysaur)
Zero Suit Samus
Moderately Low Potential
Mr. Game and Watch
Very Low Potential
Pokemon Trainer (Squirtle)
Use that chart as a reference for what characters can really beef up your manly rating in a match. Also remember that a match with character that are more manly will alone raise the rank of the match.
True fact: Stages aid in a match's manly rating. Stages like 75mm and Flat Zone 2, stages with multiple hazards, do not stand as manly stages. Small stages, mainly custom stages, are very unmanly, as not skill is easily applied. Open stages, like Hyrule Temple or Green Greens, serve as manly battle stages.
I refuse to make a chart of manly potential stages, figure it out for yourrself.
More Hazards = Less Manly
Less Space = Less Manly
Multiple character have manly moves. Explaining every move or combination would make this list endless, so let's not do that and just give examples.
Manly characters don't require much effort to manlify matches. Captain Falcon can use his forward air (Falcon Knee of Holy Justice) with success, and instantly kill enemies, which will automatically double the manly score of a match, or Jigglypuff could use her down + B to kill a small enemy such as Kirby or Pikachu, and instantly triple the manly score of a match. The scores are determined by the Brawl Sages of Beyond, which reside in The Subspace's Subspace, overseeing brawl matches. As a matter of fact, the manliest ranked brawl match consisted of 4 Jigglypuffs pulling of amazing combos and Down + B attacks on each other in rapid succession. The score of the match has never been fraction over 1/4, the highest was 1/3.7 of the score.
Also, never attack an opponent if he or she is taunting, it is just low and disgraceful. Except for Sonic, not attacking him is worse.
Never destroy Wario's bike. It is his pride and joy, destroying it is low and disgraceful.
