Something wrong with my Super Nintendo's sound

When I play some of the sound effects are very quiet or I just don't hear them at all. Switching to mono helps somewhat but for games without that option like Super Mario World and Zelda: LttP I can't do anything about it.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

It's probably the TV plug, just try to find a new one. If you live near Gamestop, they should still sell them for GC, which is compatible with the SNES. If that doesn't help, it may be the SNES itself

Cosmic Dust is an unknown quantity at this point

Lets hope it is that and not something internal with the audio circuit.
