Retro could collaborate on Zelda
Retro Could Collaborate On Zelda

The development team behind the Metroid Prime series could collaborate work on a Zelda title.
Speaking in an interview with Wired, Nintendo creative head Shigeru Miyamoto says fans could see future Nintendo titles be developed in collaboration between Japanese and Western studios, such as the case with Mario Kart 7 for 3DS. Mario Kart 7 was developed between Nintendo internal studios EAD in Japan and Retro based in Texas.
"People often say that videogames made by Western developers are somehow different in terms of taste for the players, in comparison with Japanese games," he said. "I think that means that the Western developers and Japanese developers, they are good at different fields. And that resulted in a different taste in [their games]. Mario Kart, I believe, was good in order to express that kind of different taste because we have many kinds of different courses for the Mario karts to run and race around."
Miyamoto said Retro worked on the design and art for Mario Kart 7 while EAD developed the gameplay and controls. "As you know, we have already collaborated with Retro for the Metroid Prime series in the past. And I think when we talk about any other franchise, Zelda might be a possible franchise for that collaboration," he added.

Personally, I'd rather see them work on Starfox or F-Zero, but I won't deny that it would undoubtedly be awesome to work on Zelda. Thoughts?
