Do drinks REALLY taste better in a glass bottle?

So, with all the debates in this section about religion, abortion, politics, and sexuality, I figure I'll post something a bit more lighthearted. Do drinks/soda/pop/whatever you refer to them as actually taste better from a glass bottle? Old people sure seem to think so, and frankly I agree with them. I always go glass when it is an option. The actual beverage companies say that they don't use different formulas for different packaging methods, and scientists obviously have much ,more important things to research. That being said, I think it is because some of the molecules from the plastic/aluminum in other packaging methods exchanges molecules with the beverage, thus altering the taste.

Yes, I DID just write a paragraph on why glass bottled drinks taste better. Come at me, bro.

Well, really I'm guessing that due to acidity and plastic bottles, the drink may have some difference in taste. But I'm guessing its a psychological thing. Even though it is psychological, I guess it technically is what YOU are tasting. My verdict is yes(For me).

all I know is that when getting soda at a fast food place, drinking it without a lid or straw tastes better.

Dark glass bottles reflect sunlight and hold in gases better, resulting in less flat-tasting soda.

So...yes. Same principle they use for beer. Keeps it fresher longer. Sunlight is evil for almost any drink. Hell, light in general really.

You guys are so lucky, being able to taste drinks in glass bottles. I can only taste it when it's in my mouth.

Man... I love soda in a glass bottle. It goes down smoother in my opinion, I have no clue why, it just does.

(Do I want Faygo in a glass bottle? Oh hell yes!)

We all know the title should be "from" but that doesn't change anything being discussed really
